Moving help from Brad?

So, I'm moving tomorrow. Brad offered to help me with this, which I really appreciate. Actually he accidentally volunteered.

I was explaining how I thought it would be difficult to move certain things and he says " Oh, no it's not." and starts explaining exactly how he would do it. I looked and him and said "Oh, it sounds like you know exactly what you are doing. I could really use the help."

He laughed and smiled, as if he were agreeing to help. We will see what happens.

Good dating traits

Wow, I would have to say I agree with Brad on this one. I will say that most people date a lot of people trying to find just the right person for them.

I have found the opposite to be true. I find that dating one person gives you both more time to get to know each other. This way you can talk and find out if this person has the traits you are looking for, or better yet the traits you don't want.

I have definitely played the "20 questions" game with Brad, trying to look for the traits that I admire. He's not perfect either, but so far I have to say I am very happy with what I have discovered.

Hello? Can you hear me?

I was talking with Brad last night, about the party he threw on Monday in Golden Gate Park. A lot of my friends came and it was really fun.

I started to tell him how everyone loved it and had a great time. So, here I am going on and on about how great it was. Then he just looks up at me and says " huh, sorry I wasn't even listening to you." Then he just smiles, and laughs.

What?! Here I am throwing compliments his way and he's not even listening.

Three's a party

My boss had a party at his place last night. I decided to ask Brad to go with me.

When we get there I introduce Brad and he immediately seems to hit if off with everyone. After awhile we are all just sitting around talking, and having a great time.

Then Brad starts telling a story. In the middle of the story Brad casually places his hand on what he thought was my knee. The only problem was that it wasn't my knee at all, it was my co-workers! She looks absolutely shocked by this. I look around and everyone seems to be staring at me, waiting to see what I'm going to do.

I look at him and say "What are you doing?" He then realizes what he's doing and everyone laughs. Then he looks at me and says
"Wow, arrive with one women, leave with two."

re: It goes both ways

“...this is just Sara trying to get a reaction out of me.”

Oh God, yeah so Brad came to my place the other night. Things were good, I thought I was gaining ground with Brad, I should have just left well enough alone...

I knew Brad was coming over soon. So I asked Laura, my roommate, to join me in a little fun. Brad walks in, he sits down and I finish getting ready. While Brad was waiting, my roommate walks in and says "I'm leaving; Bye Sara, bye Jeff." Brad immediately looks over at me and as much I tried not to, I couldn't help but smile.

I could tell he did not like this and I must admit I enjoyed it a bit. His glare did not change and his arms were crossed. Thinking I got the better of him, I straighten my posture. I look at him, waiting to see what he will do. Then Brad comfortably sits back on my couch and says "It's okay Laura, I mean Sara!"

One step forward ...two steps back.

Sunday delivery

Brad and I had made plans to meet at his place around noon yesterday. I get on the bus and send him a quick text saying I was on my way.

I asked him to meet me at the bus stop by his place. He quickly responds, saying that he couldn't, he's stuck at home waiting for a package. That's fine. I get off the bus and head towards his place.

A few minutes later he asks me to pick up lunch and bring it with me. So, I turn around and go pick up lunch. This takes forever, since the place was packed. During this time I get several message from Brad asking “What's taking so long?”   “What'd you get lost?” I finally get the food and head back toward his place. I ask him to meet me outside and he responds with “Just ring the bell.” He was starting to really annoy me!

I ring the doorbell, Brad opens the door and says “Ah, my package has arrived!”

Unorganized Lunch

I got a call from Brad, asking me if I could meet him on his lunch break. Unfortunately, I told him I was stuck in the library all day studying and I had rushed out of the house this morning and forgot my wallet.

Still I was in desperate need of a break, so I told him I would meet him as soon as I could. Maybe we could at least hang out for a bit.

By the time I got to him his break was over. I apologized for being so late. He just gave me a big hug and said "hold on, I've got something for you." He then ran into is office and came out with detailed directions, he knows how easily i get lost, to this new pizza place. Also, he included enough money for me to get a couple slices.

This was the nicest thing ever, I was left completely speechless.

re: All dressed up

“Sara was getting anxious watching me...”      Read more at Brad's blog

I'm the type of girl that usually loves just hanging out watching a good movie.

I had a very stressful week and was wanting to go out for the evening. Brad understood and mentioned that we could go to the W. This is an exquisite place, and I haven't had the chance to get really dressed up in a while. So, I was excited to go.

Brad started to get ready. I figured this would take no time at all. I was not expecting the fashion show it ended up turning into. He was having so much trouble deciding, even though he looked great in everything he put on. After what felt like forever, I told him he looked great and that if we didn't leave soon we were gonna be really late. He said I was right and we headed towards my place. I was in and out in a breeze, because I had plenty of time to think about what I was gonna wear.

Finally we were on our way. We arrive at the W and see all of the people having a great time. I give my ID to the doorman and wait for Brad to get his. After searching his wallet for a few minutes he realizes he left it at home. Argh!!! I was frustrated but, it was funny at the same time. I mean how are you gonna leave your ID when we spent the last hour getting ready to go out?

...and then blame it on me?

Heels and S.F.

Brad, like most guys is a big fan of heels   I am as well, don't get me wrong I love the way they look   Their is only one problem with heels and that is: we live in San Francisco.

When ever we make plans to go out he always hints to the fact that he would like me to wear a pair of my heels.   So, in order to make him happy I wore a pair on our last date. When he saw me he immediately made a comment about how sexy they were.   Being a girl this did make me smile   We spent a good portion of the night walking around the city, so my feet were killing me   Half way through the night I start limping.
I ask Brad if we can sit for a while.   I begin to explain the situation with heels and how they hurt after a while. He says he understand but, reminds me how sexy he thinks they are.

With comments like that... what's a girl to do?

Beach Day, no towels

I get a call from Brad asking if I want to go to the beach.   I wasn't working so I was excited to have something to do, so I said yes.   He tells me to get my beach wear together and he will get back to me with more details.   I start putting a few things together, when I get a text saying he is on his way to pick me up.   “Be there in 5” it said.   So i am running around frantically throwing what I can into a bag.

The drive was beautiful and the conversation was great.   He was so sweet as he was describing how he tricked his boss into letting him leave early just so he could see me.

We get to the beach and gather our things.   We found the perfect spot to relax and I ask him for a towel to lay on.   He didn't bring the towels.   How are you going to invite someone to the beach and then not bring towels?   So, here we are at this beautiful beach with and no towels to lay on.

So instead of laying in the sun and relaxing we ended up walking around a bit, looking at the sea life, which was nice.   Ultimately we ended up leaving a lot earlier than we had planned.

re: Broken computers...

“...it would seem she is sabotaging her computer just to talk with me.”
Read more at Brad's blog

I was at home working on a paper for school, when all of the sudden the sound on my computer goes out.  I tried a few tricks I knew; that didn't work.  So I called my friends to see if they could help; that got me no where.

So there I am staring at this broken computer and I know what I have to do.   I reluctantly messaged Brad. When I explained the problem to him he jumped at the opportunity to help me.After he walked me through a few basic things the problem was fixed.

Unfortunately it broke again a few days later, so I thought I should call him again.Turns out it was a virus, which I have no control over, and of course he does not mention this.  We decide to meet up so he can take the computer himself and work on it.  We spoke several times throughout the week about the computer. I thanked him and offered to buy him dinner for helping me.   “No problem, it was my pleasure” he said.

It didn't really seem to me like he was all that frustrated with the situation.   It seemed more like he enjoyed the fact that he could help me.

...Fireworks

Ok, Brad did bring up the fact that we were walking slower a few times. I'll give him that. I still think if we would have taken the bus, full or not, we would have made it on time.

Oh and the video he bought was ridiculous. I couldn't even believe he thought that would make up for it.
